The primary ink cartridge is the Schneider gel, so it'll write very smooth! The backup refill is a standard ballpoint style ink cartridge.

If you want to keep them in your kit, you won’t have to worry about them exploding inside, since the ink end can be completely covered.

It's not a standard paint finish. Cerakote® ceramic coating is the same ultra-durable finish trusted by the military and aerospace industries to withstand extreme abuse, abrasion, and hard operational use.

It has a distinct, matte, slightly textured feel. It looks premium, but more importantly, it isn't slick like raw, polished metal.
